Class K stranding according to ASTM B174 (172), is a AWM strand count making up individual conductors. For example, a 12AWG conductor with Class K stranding will consist of 65 strands of 30AWG copper wire.
Polyurethane (PUR) is a halogen-free and self-extinguishing thermoplastic polymer with high memory properties. This material is notch, abrasion, oil and ozone resistant as well as flexible particularly in colder temperatures. Ideal for continuous flexing applications in cable carrier. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a widely used synthetic plastic polymer for both cable jackets and insulation. Relatively inexpensive with good resistance to oils, moisture, sunlight, heat abrasion and weathering. Flame retardant and ideal for direct burial.
