Cable glands, also known as fittings or cordgrips, are cable entry devices used to provide a safe entry way through an enclosure or equipment for termination to other components. When installed the cable gland compresses a seal around the cable, stopping the ingress of dirt or water into the enclosure while also providing strain relief and protection for the connection at the other end.
